TableTracker: Basic Usage Guide

  • Introduction

    TableTracker is an add-on service for PokerTracker which allows you to quickly and easily search for tables across all of the supported sites you play at, view statistics from your local PokerTracker database for the active players, then quickly open the desired tables to join.

    Table information is retrieved from each site/network via the TableTracker servers then player statistics are shown from your local PokerTracker database.

    TableTracker scores each table based on the statistics of the active players and the tables can be sorted by score, a selection of statistics, or by the number of active 'buddies'.

    You have the ability to create custom rules to highlight or hide certain tables to make the table selection process that much faster and easier. When you find a table you wish to join; PokerTracker can open the site and take you directly to the table.

    TableTracker is accessed in PokerTracker 4 by clicking PokerTracker+ (from the main navigation) and then select TableTracker.  This will open the main TableTracker window, which looks like this:

     If you use are a legacy PokerTracker 3 user, TableTracker appears as a main tab within the  application, to the right of Texas Holdem and Omaha tabs -- to select it click on TableTracker.

  • Configuring TableTracker

    On the main TableTracker window you can select whichever combination of sites and limits you are interested in searching. You can also filter which limits are shown in the list using the Games and Limits dropdown lists (shown below).

    Note: No limit (NL) tables are selected using the Big Blind (BB) amount, not the 100BB buy-in amount that some sites quote. For example: a table where the big blind is $0.50 is shown as "$0.50 NL" (not $50 NL).

    There are additional filtering options available by clicking the Configure button (shown above). This defines which of the available tables within the selected sites and limits will be displayed.

    On the General tab you can specify which sizes of tables are retrieved (See #1 in the screenshot below) as well as how many active players there need to be for a table to be shown (2). Minimum Hands Required (3) defines how many hands there must be in your own databases before a player's stats are displayed in TableTracker. Stats From Current Limit Only (4) specifies whether a player's stats are retrieved for only the hands they played at the limit of the current table, or for all their hands.

    The application for each of your poker sites should be automatically detected by TableTracker; if it is not automatically detected or if you want to add another skin for the same network you can add it using Launch Settings (5) where you can Add, Edit, or Delete your poker clients. This is used by TableTracker to launch your poker applications and to take you directly to the tables.

    The Scoring and Advanced Filters tabs will be discussed in the Advanced TableTracker Guide.

  • Searching for Tables
    Once your configuration are set and you have chosen one or more sites and limits, click the Start Search button to have TableTracker contact the TableTracker servers to search for tables that meet your criteria.

    Note: Trial searches cannot be started more than once every 30 seconds. Subscribers can search as frequently as necessary with no limitations.

  • Using TableTracker

    After you start a search, tables are retrieved from the TableTracker servers and shown in the Available Tables list to the right. Player statistics are then retrieved from your own local PokerTracker 3 databases and added to the report.

    Note: The same databases are used for TableTracker statistics which are used in the HUD. To change which databases are used go to Configure -> Configure HUD and open the HUD Options tab.

    The Available Tables report lists the tables which were returned by the search. This report shows the table names along with average information about the players at the table.

    You can click on a column header to sort by that column:

    • Players shows the table size and how many players are currently seated at the table.
    • With Stats shows how many players, currently seated at the table, have statistics in your local databases.
    • The Buddy column shows how many players at the table are marked as buddies.
    • Avg Stack is the average stack size of the players at the table.
    • Avg Score is the average 'score' of the players at the table. This is based on the scoring rules defined in the configuration -- for more information on this see the Advanced TableTracker Guide. The higher the TableTracker score the "better" the table is. By default the report rows are coloured green for positive scores ("good" tables) and red for negative scores ("bad" tables).

    The remainder of the columns are normal PokerTracker statistics averaged over the known players.

    If you only want to view tables with players that have stats in your local database then you can enable the Hide Tables Without Stats option.
    When you click on a table in the Available Tables report the information for that table is displayed in the Table Detail report at the bottom, with scores and statistics for each player.

    In this report you can toggle buddy status for a player by right clicking the player and choosing Toggle Buddy Status:    		 add buddy in table tracker

     

     

    sort tables based upon fish Clicking on the Buddies button will open [or close] a new panel showing all the buddies you have added.  You can sort the tables to show the number of buddies per table to easily find where they are playing.  In the example to the left, our buddy is currently on 5 tables which can then go search for!

    When you have found a table that you would like to play at; TableTracker can quickly open the table for you to join. For table opening to work properly, some sites require for you to launch the site from within TableTracker using the Launch Site button. When you click Open Table, TableTracker will attempt to open the table for you if the site permits table opening, or offer to launch the site if it is not currently open.
