some questions about stats

Postby crustone » Thu Feb 21, 2013 5:43 pm

2 questions:
1) it's possible to view some players's stats just against ME?
2)it's possible to have position stats (for example 3bet) after a raise from a specific position? (what i mean is: i would like to know how often a player 3bet from SB after an open raise from BU, or from BU after a raise from CO)

if these are not possible, are they in PT4?

(1) In a custom report, yes, in the HUD no (this is true for both PT3 and PT4).

(2) In PT3 no, in PT4 yes (and they're built into PT4)

ok, thanx kraada, like always...
i've found this topic, for the custom report for stats agains hero:
https://www.pokertracker.com/forums/vie ... 15&t=32041
but, im not very good in using the software deeply, i've tried to copy this string:
holdem_hand_player_statistics.id_hand in (SELECT hhps.id_hand from holdem_hand_player_statistics hhps where hhps.id_player = (SELECT setting_value::int from settings where setting_name = 'my_player_id') and hhps.flg_p_first_raise)

in the filter in a report, but it gives me an error
i put my nickname instead of "my_player_id", but it still doesnt work...what do i have to write exactly?
sorry, im a bit donk :D

'my_player_id' - that should stay exactly as it is shown - that stores your screenname.

on your opinion, how many hands do i need to have this values fairly accurate? a value of 1000 hands just against hero is enough (on a total of 15.000 hands with villain)?

I don't think that there's really a lot of value in analyzing those kinds of stats; see this blog post for more details as to why.

thanxs kraada, i've already red the beginning of that blog, and it's obvious that position matters a lot...
for that reason, i make a specific filter non with hero open raise in general but just with hero steal attempts from hj or more, and add the 3bet stat position by position...so i have a good value now, haven't i?

so, to be more accurate, is it possible to create a report from a specific position?
i mean, now i put this string:
holdem_hand_player_statistics.id_hand in (SELECT hhps.id_hand from holdem_hand_player_statistics hhps where hhps.id_player = (SELECT setting_value::int from settings where setting_name = 'my_player_id') and hhps.flg_steal_att)

instad of hhps.flg_steal_att, can i insert something to have my steal from CO, or BU, or SB?
in this way it should be accurate!

You can specify your position by changing the value of X here:

holdem_hand_player_statistics.id_hand in (SELECT hhps.id_hand from holdem_hand_player_statistics hhps where hhps.id_player = (SELECT setting_value::int from settings where setting_name = 'my_player_id') and hhps.flg_steal_att and hhps.position = X)

9 is the SB, 8 is the BB, 0 is the button, 1 is the CO, 2 is the HJ and so on around the table. (9 and 8 are always fixed, 7 only exists 10 handed and 6 only exists 9 and 10 handed.)
