Unable to connect to database

I recently installed PT3 on a new computer. I noticed that it didn't install Postgresql. So I downloaded Posstgresql v 9.0. For some reason the Postgresql service won't start. When I try to start it manually, I get the following error.

The postgresql-64x-9.0 service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

I have Windows 7

Can anyone help?

I think I solved it with some research. I ran Winsock fix, and now it's working fine.
