crash when stopping auto import

I just set up PT3 and PostgreSQL. Setup seemed to work good, but once I got in I clicked to auto-import my hands from Full Tilt (which was detected) and it started running. I saw the log going through some hands which appeared ok for a few lines and then got a bunch of unknown game type stating those hands were for Omaha Hi and it spammed the log screen for a bunch of lines in red.

If I understand it correctly this is just like the auto-import from PT2 that grabbed hands every minute (by default). I'm not even sure what the hands were because all hands should have been processed already from PT2. I only have Hold'em for PT2 so I understand why the Omaha hands were in there since they wouldn't be processed by PT2. When I clicked to "stop auto-import" it crashed PT3 with no error (just the standard "has encountered an error and must close" type of thing). I restarted PT3 and clicked auto-import again and it didn't seem to grab any hands that time. I clicked stop and that time it was ok.

I checked for log files in the PT3 directory, but couldn't find any from the auto-import errors. I do see a log that shows a bunch of hand histories when I open it though.

Also, when I haven't read up on converting databases yet, but I was looking around the menus and saw the convert database option. When I clicked it I was told it couldn't find any PT2 database. Shouldn't there be an option to browse for one? I'll see if I can read up on that before I post more.

Yes, the auto-import is very similar to the PT2 auto-import; however, there are no longer any timers. PT3 detects the hands in near real-time and imports them so that once a hand is finished it should be imported soon thereafter. Maybe you had some old Full Tilt tmp files that it was importing?

If you can replicate the crash or if it happens again, please send us the PokerTracker.log file via the Support system so that we can troubleshoot the issue. The log file will be located in your main PokerTracker 3 directory.

Currently, the PT2->PT3 conversion is only working with PostgreSQL databases. If no databases were found, I assume that you were using Access databases in PT2. Until we are able to support Access conversions, you can convert them via exporting the hands to file then manually importing them into PT3.

A bunch of them were Full Tilt tmp files but not all. Wish I took a screen shot now. Thanks for the info though.

Hi!

Same problem, PT3 crashed when I finished my session and tryed to stop autoimporting. I was running PT v2 parallel to PT3, so it might be that. PT2 moved processed files, and PT3 wasnt able to access them, or in any way got an FileNotFoundException or something similar.

PokerTracker.log indicates some duplicate key violating unique constraint, as follows:

If you wish, I can send you my log file and the file windows generated, to send along with the crash error. But that's pretty much useless. I couldn't copy the error description, that was listing some of PT3s dlls. I'll try to generate that error again ...
