Sqz stats

Postby smoothjazz » Fri Nov 04, 2011 12:31 pm

Is it possible to make separately stats for squeeze_SB and squeeze_BB?
Not just a combined stats such as squeeze_OOP.
Cuz I think sqz from BB is different from SB
BB only faces a IP villain and a OOP villain ,but SB faces two IP villains.
Sorry I am a newbie and duno how to make stats.

Yes this is certainly doable. The easiest way is to start by looking at the columns already used for squeeze. Click Configure --> Configure Statistics, click Holdem Cash Player Statistics then click Stats (assuming you play cash otherwise click Holdem Tourney Player Statistics, or the appropriate Omaha variant). On that tab you can click on the Preflop Squeeze stat and see how it's calculated in the Value Expression.

The data in the Value Expression field refers to columns - you can see how the columns are built on the Columns tab.

For the squeeze stat you'll find there are two columns and the stat is created by dividing one by the other and multiplying by 100.

All you need to do to make a BB specific version is go into the Columns tab, click on the first of those two columns and click Dup - this duplicates the column so you can start with that data and make a slightly modified version. Change the name how you would like and just after the [ (that comes in sum(if[) add in "holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_b AND" - that means you're in the big blind and the rest of it. Save the column. Do the same for the opportunities column. Then on the stats tab duplicate the stat using the Dup button, change the name and description accordingly and set the stat to use your new columns and you'll have a BB Squeeze stat.

To make it SB instead of BB use holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_s.

Enjoy!

The stats are attached - you will need to extract the two files from the .zip before you import them into PT3.
I would really suggest looking at how these stats are built - they're pretty simple examples and understanding how this works will really open up the possibilities of how you can extend PT3 with your own stats.
