Stack to blind ratio stat

Postby BoiledFrog » Sun Dec 04, 2011 12:53 am

I would like to create a stat that shows a players stack in relation to the mandatory bets. It would be amt_chips / (big blind + small blind + ante * number of players).

Is there a way to do this? I couldn't see anything that showed the blinds or antes. There's id_blinds but this seems to be an index into a text field. Is there a way to get the blind values from this? I didn't see anything that showed the antes.

I am doing this on the Tournament side but I will want to do it on the Cash side eventually as well.

There's a built in stat called "M" that does this that you can use in the HUD.

Is there a way to get this information as a Tournament Hand stat? When I am reviewing hands I would like to see if I am making red zone decisions in the green zone and vice versa.

You could certainly build this as a custom statistic in that section.

Create a new column in the Holdem Tournament Hand section named amt_blinds_and_antes with definition:

tourney_holdem_blinds.amt_bb + tourney_holdem_blinds.amt_sb + (tourney_holdem_blinds.amt_ante * tourney_holdem_hand_summary.cnt_players)

On the statistics tab, use that as the denominator for your stat - amt_chips is your numerator (it already exists).

For more on creating custom statistics please see our Tutorial: Using Custom Statistics and Reports.
