Originally, what i was trying to accomplish was about 4betting not 3betting:
I wanted to have a stat that shows the percentaged (Pokerstove) hand range with which a villain 4bets
and not the percentage of times of how often villain (re)acts to a 3bet with a 4bet (which is shown by the PokerTracker stat '4Bet Preflop', isn't it?).
E.g. for me the 4Bet Preflop stat says that i 4bet 13.59% of times. But this does not mean that i 4bet with what is equal to 13.59% of all possible hand combinations (see Pokerstove), but 'only' that i (re)act to a 3bet 13.59% of times with a 4bet. So this formula
- Code: Select all
((cnt_pfr / cnt_hands) * 100 * (cnt_p_4bet / cnt_p_4bet_opp) * 100) / 100
should (nearly, as it does not count in cold 4bets) reach my goal, as it calculates PFR% * 4Bet Preflop% / 100, shouldn't it? When executing this formula testwise for my data it showed '3.24'. This seemed plausible to me as it represents a Pokerstove range which seems decent for my playing style and so i haven't doubt it.
After doing the above, i simply adapted the formular for 3betting as showed in my first post and was astounded about the tight outcome (which could def. not be real).
Btw. the value i posted wasn't negative, i wrote a '~' (tilde) not a minus. In german, this stands for 'rounded' :)
