Auto import

Hi Pat,

I have re-installed Postgre using the posted instructions....when I try to auto import not much happens....there are quite a few files to import, 175 or so....I've let it go for over 4 hours...I am not getting any error msgs..any ideas?

How many hands are in those 175 files? Do you have the "auto-rate on import" box checked? If so, uncheck it, that will slow things down a lot if there are a lot of hands to import.

the size of the hand history folder is 281 MB

Where did you get the files from? That is a huge size for just that many files. That's an average of 1.6mb per file which could contain 100's or even over a 1000 hands per file. You are going to need to let the program run until it comes back. PT2 can only import maybe 30,000 hands/hour.

regarding the size of the files....the only explanation I can offer is that it has been a couple of weeks between the new install and trying to import the hands...FTP was running the whole time...so they are mostly observed hands.

I started a new import last night and this morning I have this error code:

DBCode:7 Error Text: SQLSTATE = 23505
ERROR: duplicate key violates unique constraint "game_players_idx_01";
Error while executing the query.

No changes made to database.

That error is because of a bug in the FT hand histories where they list multiple players in the same seat. Install this patch, v2.17.03g...
