Hero Screenname Disappeared?

Hello,

I currently have an issue where my screenname appears to have disappeared completely from my database. My screenname is attached to an Alias, but there is a red question mark over the Alias button on PT4, so I cannot de-link them, and I cannot find my screenname when attempting to search. I have attempted to run a new All Players report from My Reports, and my screenname does not appear.

I played a session earlier, HUD appears to be correct for opponents on the table but does not display for Hero, hands appear to be importing from the correct location, but any hands won by Hero appear to be missing.

Has anyone come across this before or have any advice to resolve?

EDIT TO ADD: There seems to be some part of PT4 that still recognises my screenname as Hero, as in the 'View Active Tables' tab I can see how much I have won/lost on each table as they are being imported.

Have you recently purged all hands from the main alias? There is a known issue where if you purge all hands played by a main alias then any hands linked to secondary aliases cannot be accessed. The main alias disappears from the list so can't be selected and the aliased names are not shown and cannot be searched for. Unfortunately reimporting hands doesn't resolve this issue and the only workaround at this time is to import the hands into a new database or restore from an earlier backup if you have one.

Hey this issue is happening to me, I purged all hands now its no longer auto detecting 888 or Stars for example, would I need to make a completely new database? It seems as though 888 hands arnt even saving to the designated folded destination, Pokerstars is tho, but Stars isnt showing in PT4 either

If you have purged all hands from a main alias you should create a new database as aliased names can no longer be searched for in that database. If you want to delete/purge all hands then it is also quicker and more efficient to create a new database and delete the original rather than going through the process of running a purge.

Gotcha, I think the reason why I purged was because there were two/three hands in a GG tournament that had skewed BB for like 4 hands, was something like 10,000bb effective when in reality it wasn’t ofc, then accidentally purged everything. (Made a new one for 2026 for not bad anyways)

If I make a new database and purge those problematic hands again will there be more alias issues? Or is there another way I should do this? Many thanks

If you don't purge all the hands on a main alias it should be fine. When purging you can purge an individual tournament if there is an issue with it:

You could also remove the problems hands from the hand history before importing again. It's possible there may be an issue with the hand history but if you are having a problem I would recommend attaching that sample to a Support Ticket so we can take a look at it.
