Timezone

Postby gure90306 » Sun Dec 21, 2025 2:06 pm

The below is the message I'm seeing when I start pt4.
Tried doing the notepad C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.3\data\postgresql.conf.
It does not work. filed cannot be found.

Would it be faster to just save hh another file and reinstall postgres and pt4?

Thanks

The timezone on your computer and the timezone used by Postgres, the database server,

Do you have PostgreSQL v9.3 installed on your computer? If not then you will need to edit the commands accordingly for the PostgreSQL version you do have (v10, v12, v16). Alternatively go to your C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL folder and check the version number there. You can then go into the numbered version and data folder and open the postgresql.conf file that's there directly with notepad.

I just deleted postgres and PT4 and reinstalled. No issues now, but all notes and marked hands are gone.

Notes and marked hands are stored in the PostgreSQL database so if you've deleted PostgreSQL then that will delete the notes and marked hands. Did you backup your database before deleting PostgreSQL?
