Delay getting hands on Stars while playing

Postby POKERPOKER000 » Sun Dec 28, 2025 2:07 am

Hi everyone,

Is anyone else experiencing issues with hands being imported while playing on PokerStars? Over the past couple of days, I’ve been getting a significant delay.

There’s no error message in PokerTracker, but the hand histories are imported with a delay of around 3 to 5 minutes after the hands are played.

I’ve already tried reinstalling both PokerTracker and the PokerStars client, but the issue persists.

Is this a PokerStars issue, or could it be related to PokerTracker?

I tried creating a new database and importing hands into it, and everything worked smoothly. Jesus.

My question is: if I want to combine this database with my old one so I can see the complete graphs and stats, is there any workaround for that?

Thanks.

That sounds like a database issue. If you don't have a large database then to try and resolve that go to 'Database -> Database Management'. Click the 'Housekeeping' button and run the following in this order:

1. Reindex
2. Cluster
3. Vacuum/Analyze

After the housekeeping is complete rebuild the database cache via 'Rebuild Cache -> Full Cache Rebuild' and try things out again.

Alternatively you can import prior hands into the new database you created using 'Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk'. By default PokerTracker 4 moves your auto-imported files to your 'Processed' folder:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed

Guide: Processed Files

and/or you can export hands from the original database and import those into the new database.

Thanks for the workaround.
I tried the first one but it didn't work, it now shows error message.
for the second workaround, just to clarify, do you mean to export all the hand from my previous database and the import it again to the new database?

What error message? Let us know the specific details of the error message. Attach a screenshot if necessary.

It's one of the options I mentioned. You can import from your 'Processed' folder and/or you can export from the original database. For example if you don't have all the hand histories you need in your 'Processed' folder you can instead export them from the original database. The important thing is not to delete the original database until you are sure that you have everything you need in the new database. If you have manually edited some of your tournament results then it is better to export/reimport those rather than import again from the original hand histories.

Here;s the error message for the first workaround.
I had done housekeeping several times but the error persisted.

Unfortunately that would mean that the housekeeping hasn't resolved whatever the issue is with the database so you should start a new one. If you have any further trouble turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce the issue and then create a support bundle via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4. When that file has been saved attach your support bundle to a Support Ticket where a technician can review your logs and follow uo with you.
