Platform filters

Postby Erlebnis » Sat Dec 17, 2011 2:14 pm

Under "view stats", it would be nice to have one more "filter" as a dropdown list of platforms.

I know there is a dropdown of my "players", but they are aliased. Also, when I click a different player PT4 asks me:

This player has been set as an alias.
Would you like to view the aliased player instead?

But there is no difference whether I click Yes or No.

I could set quick filters, but I'd have to set one quick filter for each platform. I think one more dropdown list below "bet type" would be just perfect.

There is a difference if the alaised player is not the active player. For instance:

You have three player: PlayerA, PlayerB, PlayerC. PlayerC is set as an alias of PlayerB. If you have PlayerA as the active player and you try to make PlayerC the active player, choosing Yes will then make PlayerB the active player. Choosing No will keep PlayerA as the active player. However, if PlayerB is the active player, both options ultimately end up making PlayerB the active player, so it appears the option does nothing.

Oh, ok, I think I got it.

And now I seem to think it's even more important to have a filter by platform :D

If you dont use aliases and just select player on platform as a hero, then you kinda get what you want.. :D

If you click More Filters, you can choose Sites under the Game Details section. Add the filter you want and click Add to Filter. In the window that appears after click Save as Quick Filter (it's at the very bottom left). Name your Quick Filter by your site and then in the Quick section you'll be able to select a filter by your site quickly and easily.

Yup, thanks, I have done that. But then... if I want also a filter, say, VPIP = true. Then I must have a quick filter for each platform without the VIPIP filter and another quick filter for each platform with the VPIP = true.

As I could see, that would result in an astronomic number of quickfilters - which imo debunks the feature of having "quick" filters at all. If I have, say, 4 platforms, I have to multiply all my quickfilters by 5 (one to all platforms, one to each platform). So if I had 4 quick filters before I'll have 20 now to achieve the same thing per platform.

Is it right or am I doing something wrong?

That also leads me to ask: why is it not possible to use more than one quickfilter at once? Or is it?

Finally, on the "stake" dropdown list it would also be good to select more than one choice, or a range of stakes. But that's minor imo.

Once you pick your quickfilter you can add more to it - so if you pick "Site: PokerStars" then you can click More Filters and add VPIP fairly quickly.

For certain people like yourself, a built in quick filter by site would be useful - but for most users it would just take up screen real estate, which was why we did not add one initially.

I do agree.

Of course, there could always be an option of having it or not. As in, the ability to create new dropdown lists of "filters" that will remain there in the filters list for quick use.

Well, I know that's a bit the function of quick filters; it's just the fact that the inability to use more than one quick filter at once limits quite a bit its functionality.
