Custom Stats restricted because HConverter uses Stars Format

Hi everyone,

I am setting up a database, but I am facing an issue with restrictions on my Custom Stats.

I play on a platform that fully allows advanced and dynamic statistics. However, to track my sessions, I am forced to use a third-party Hand Converter that translates my hand histories into the PokerStars format so PokerTracker 4 can import them.

Because PT4 recognizes the files as PokerStars hands, it automatically disables and greys out several of my universal Custom Stats due to Stars' software policies. This restriction shouldn't apply to my case since I am not playing on their software and my actual room allows these stats.

Furthermore, these statistics are also being blocked inside the Replayer, which makes it impossible to review my hands statically for study purposes. It is a bit frustrating since it's just an offline replayer for hands already played outside of PokerStars.

Is there any way or workaround within PT4 to force these hands to be treated under a different network (like iPoker or a generic site) so my Custom Stats can function normally in both reports and the Replayer, without being blocked by the PokerStars filter?

Any guidance on how to fix this would be highly appreciated.

If a PokerStars hand history format is imported then the hands will be treated as if they are from PokerStars and will be subject to PokerStars restrictions. If your hand converter can provide the hands in the format of another site then you should use that instead.

Thank you for the quick response.

Unfortunately, my current converter does not support other site outputs natively and the developers won't update it anytime soon.

Since I have programming knowledge, I am planning to write a custom script/converter myself to parse and translate these text files into another network's format so PT4 can import them without the PokerStars restrictions.

To make my script as simple as possible and avoid breaking the live HUD or the Replayer, could you please tell me which poker network/site format supported by PT4 is structurally the closest or most similar to the PokerStars text syntax, but does not have any Custom Stats or HUD limitations?

Knowing which room has the most clone-like format to Stars (in terms of how seats, blinds, and actions are described) would save me from rewriting the entire log syntax from scratch.

BetOnline/Chico is most similar although also from a converter otherwise you could try Winning Poker Network (WPN).
